More cracks in the quota science

Great to see more scientists speaking out about the short-comings of the science behind the FV Margiris' proposed quota for small pelagics. Prof. Meeuwig's well-written (and engagingly titled) - "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" article in The Conversation does a great job of breaking down the complexity of the science and pointing out the serious and significant cracks in the science supporting this supertrawler's quota.

Take a moment to read the article, share it through your networks and use your newfound knowledge of fisheries science to demand that federal fisheries minister Joe Ludwig deny supertrawlers of the right to fish in Australian waters. Send the minister an email or call his office direct on 07 3001 8111.
